Where would we be without friends?

Last weekend was particularly exciting for us, as we photographed the wedding of Russell and Josie, some of our best Oxford friends. We get on pretty well...

Way back in the mists of time, when Simplicity Photography was still in its very early stages, and I was getting to grips with building a website and running a business, our reputation was somewhat reliant on the generosity of friends in lending us their time and faces to build up a decent portfolio; and letting us experiment with new and crazy ideas to find a style that we could settle into. The first incarnation of www.simplicityphotography.co.uk featured our portrait sessions with Russell and Josie quite heavily, among other very patient friends!

We've all come a long way since then - the new-look website now has lots of photos of our real clients (!), we've got comfortable working on portrait sessions (although we still experiment and still have crazy ideas); and Russell and Josie have got married. It was an absolute pleasure and honour to photograph their amazing day from start to finish. Some highlights was the dramatic, moody sky in the afternoon; and simply being around so many of our friends and coming home with thousands of shots of really relaxed, happy people - it sometimes helps to be known!

Looking forward to the most important day of her life...
